• Recycle Your Unused Hobby Supplies

The trading card hobby depends on plastic supplies to protect collectibles — but many of these materials eventually go unused or discarded. SleeveCycle provides collectors with a responsible way to ensure these materials are reused whenever possible and recycled when reuse is no longer viable. By sending your unused hobby supplies to SleeveCycle, you help reduce landfill waste and extend the life of valuable materials.

  • August 2026 Update: An Incredible Response. Thank you!

We have been overwhelmed—in the best possible way—by the response to SleeveCycle since our launch.

Thanks to collectors across the country, we've already received more than 300 pounds of hobby plastics for reuse or recycling. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has participated and helped demonstrate just how much demand exists for a program like SleeveCycle.

The response has exceeded our expectations so quickly that the funds provided by our initial private grant for prepaid shipping have now been exhausted.

Unfortunately, this means we are temporarily unable to provide free prepaid mailing labels. We apologize to anyone who was hoping to request one.

But SleeveCycle is still accepting materials! Collectors who would like to participate are welcome to mail their hobby supplies directly to:

    SleeveCycle

    920 US 64 Hwy W #105

    Apex, NC 27523

We are actively pursuing additional grants, donations, sponsorships, and other funding opportunities with the goal of making prepaid shipping available again in the future.

Most importantly, thank you. Collecting more than 300 pounds of hobby plastics this early in our journey is an incredible start, and proof of what the collecting community can accomplish together.

  • What We Accept

SleeveCycle currently accepts clean, dry hobby plastics including:

    • Penny sleeves
    • Top loaders
    • Semi-rigid holders (Card Saver style)
    • Team bags
    • Plastic slabs from graded cards that have been broken out
    • Plastic and mylar wrappers from trading card packs

Items should be free of excessive dirt, tape, or non-plastic materials.

    How to Package Your Materials

    1. Gather clean, dry hobby supplies you no longer need.
    2. Package the items in a padded envelope or small box.
    3. Ship your package via your preferred carrier

Collectors are encouraged to bundle materials together to reduce shipping waste.

What Happens After You Send Materials

Every item received by SleeveCycle is evaluated using a responsible environmental hierarchy:

Reuse First. Items that remain usable are redistributed to collectors, youth programs, and hobby communities.

Recycle When Possible. Materials that cannot be reused are sorted and sent to recycling partners capable of processing the plastics used in hobby supplies.

Responsible Disposal. Items that cannot currently be recycled are disposed of according to responsible waste management practices while SleeveCycle continues to develop better recycling solutions.
